Xaomi is working on its next version of MIUI aka MIUI 11 and rumours suggest that it is expected to release soon, possibly in a few months. The list of Mi and Redmi phones that may get MIUI 11 update was leaked last month. The list included some of the newly launched phones like Redmi Note 7 series and also some old Xiaomi phones like Redmi 5 series. A new list has now been released revealing the name of phones that will no longer get MIUI update, which means the phones that are not eligible to get the upcoming MIUI 11 update.

There are seven Xiaomi phones that will not get MIUI update any more. The phones include — Redmi 3S/Prime, Redmi Pro, Redmi 4 Prime, Redmi 4 Global, Redmi 4A, Redmi Note 4 (MTK version) and Redmi Note 3. It suggests that all seven listed phones will not receive global beta updates any more. This means that all the listed Xiaomi phones will not get the upcoming MIUI 11 software update.

Xiaomi has confirmed on its forum that starting April 4 the Redmi team will stop offering software updates for these seven phones. But the company did mention that the listed phones will continue to get Android security updates for some time now. On the company’s forum, Xiaomi has asked the users of these seven phones to upgrade to the latest stable ROM if they are using the developer ROM. The advice makes sense considering these devices will no longer get any sort of MIUI update from now on.

MIUI 11 is coming soon. Xiaomi is yet to reveal the release timeline of the next-gen MIUI but rumours suggest that the company is working very hard on the software. Reports suggest that with the MIUI 11 Xiaomi will resolve several issues related to ads, among others. The MIUI 11 is also said to bring the popular system wide dark mode to all the compatible Xiaomi phones.
