LG launches LG G8s, LG Q60 smartphones in India, price starts at Rs 13,340

After launching its W series smartphones consisting of the LG W10, the LG W30 and the LG W30 Pro in India back in July, LG Electronics has launched two new smartphones – the LG G8s ThinQ and the LG Q60 – in India. The budget LG Q60 comes at a price of Rs 13,490 and it will go on sale in India on October 1. The premium budget LG G8s costs Rs 36,990 and it went on sale in India on September 29 in Black colour variant.

First let’s talk about the LG G8s ThinQ. LG had introduced the LG G8s ThinQ alongside its flagship LG G8 ThinQ at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona earlier this year. Then later it announced that the phone would soon be available in other parts of the world soon. Now, the LG G8s ThinQ has finally made its way to India.

In terms of features, the LG G8s ThinQ comes with a 6.2-inch 18.7:9 FHD+ OLED FullVision display with a screen resolution of 2248 x 1080 pixels and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and sports 6GB RAM and 128GB. The phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie. As far as the camera is concerned, the LG G8s ThinQ comes with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 13MP super wide angle lens, a 12MP standard lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. On the front, the phone has a dual camera setup consisting of an 8MP standard lens a time of flight (ToF) sensor. This ToF sensor or Z camera, LG explains, can be used for unlocking the phone by scanning a user’s unique circulatory pattern using infrared light in his hand using a technique called Hand ID. The Z Camera is also used for unlocking the phone using the Face Unlock. The phone also comes with fingerprint unlocking technology.

The LG G8s ThinQ come with a 3550mAh battery and it features support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 Technology.

The other phone that LG launched is the LG Q60. It comes with a 2.0 GHz Octa-Core and sports 3GB RAM with 64GB internal memory that can be expanded further using a 2TB microSD card. It is powered by Android 9.0 Pie. It features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 16MP standard lens, a 2MP lens with Depth Sensor and a 5MP super wide angle lens. On the front, the phone has a 13MP lens.

As far as the battery is concerned, the LG Q60 comes with a 3500mAh battery and it is available in India in Moroccan Blue colour variant.
