LG G8 ThinQ is expected to be priced much higher than its predecessor, LG G7 ThinQ. The device will be a flagship model and could directly compete against upcoming Samsung and Apple premium smartphones.
LG is expected to launch a series of smartphones at the MWC 2019 which will include flagship model LG G8 ThinQ alongside other models like LG K12 Plus and LG’s touchless gesture smartphone. With the launch of LG G8 ThinQ, the company seems to take on upcoming premium devices like Samsung Galaxy S10, iPhone XI and more. Last time we got hands on a list of specifications and features of the device and this time price of the LG’s upcoming offering has been subjected to a leak.
As per the Reddit post spotted by SlashGear, the LG G8 ThinQ price will be set at CAD 1,199.99/ $903 (roughly Rs. 64,300) for the 128GB variant option. The prices seem to be much higher than its predecessor LG G7 ThinQ. The redditor claims to have located the prices of the LG G8 ThinQ in the internal database of the employer.
The South Korean giant as of now has only confirmed that the device will come with a selfie camera based on 3D technology for enhanced facial recognition and AR applications. On the other hand, the leaks suggest that the LG G8 ThinQ will feature a 6.1-inch display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC will power it as per previous leaks.
Further for optics, the device is expected to feature a dual-rear camera setup with 16-megapixel primary camera and 20-megapixel secondary sensor. Other camera features will include a Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Compass, Gyroscope and Accelerometer. While for storage it will pack a 64GB/128GB, both expandable up to 2TB, security options will include a rear-fingerprint scanner.
